One irritating bit is that you have to pay for the iPad, iPhone, and Mac versions separately if you want the app on all of them. Forced to subscribe
By Ary322Had the app for years and went in to look at a recipe and it will not allow me to view unless I subscribe. You would think they would at least let you see your old recipes and just not let you add new ones instead of locking everything. If you want your old recipes you have to pay because you can’t even scroll to see what you had saved.Don’t make the mistake!
By LimaconSadly there isn’t a zero star option. I had an account and used the app for all my recipes. One day I was just locked out, no account found, recipes all gone. After numerous back and forth emails account support went silent. Waste of my time. All of a sudden
By CopaparWow I have like 2 thousand recipes on Pepperplate and all of a sudden 3 dollars a month at least they could have gave me a heads up to get my recipes off of it plus 3 dollars a month is a little much for what it isHandy, but was cumbersome & now abandoned
By Fond of WordsAs a free app, Pepperplate (PP) was okay—perhaps 2 or 3 stars. Quite cumbersome to learn & PP gave very little instruction on its secreted pages. But it was handy & I used it off & on for a few years; the ads were no more annoying than most apps. I drifted away from PP over the last few years as I’m writing a cookbook with family lore for a grandson & have found Google .docs much more handy. PP limits length of text. But what sent me over the edge on Pepperplate was not only did they go to a fee-based subscription, but charged the totally outrageous ransom of $32.99 a year. Who the Sam hill do they think they are—that’s 30+% more than The NY Times, & the Times gives you recipes in addition to letting you store your own. I might have paid a 1-time charge of $3 to $7, but an annual fee of $32.99 for just a barely okay app—these folks are crazy. In fact, they’re more than that—they are despicable. For years you add your recipes (I had 56) & then they come along with no notice and tell you that you may access PP free for only 2 more weeks—but then you’ll be locked out of your recipes forever! Despicable! It took me 6 or 8 hours yesterday to copy all my recipes to Google .docs—& believe you me, I had nothing but distaste for Pepperplate & it’s gouging executives all day. Unfortunately, I can’t get even with this entirely disreputable company, but I can get mad—& tell all the folks to whom I might have one time recommended PP to avoid this software & app.Great for keeping track of groceries and recipes
By Mar-t-90This app is super user friendly and allows you to upload recipes from websites and create your own. Also, in response to the people who said they added a fee without warning, the app warned everyone with an account via email about the price hike before the change was implemented..I highly recommend this app.Useless monthly subscription
By oreoeater82Why am I paying a monthly subscription for my own recipes? The app was previously free and now you lock out users. So lame..Beware!!!
By svpelLoved this app. Opened it one day and I was locked out. They wanted me to start paying monthly. I had to pay so I could get my recipes. Now trying to figure out how to cancel.App holds your recipes hostage till payment is made
By MejjasutyApp decided to lock out all my receipts, you can’t use it if you dont pay monthly subscription! For app that was free to hold our receipts hostages till we pay subscription is not acceptable! The worst hostile step app can take! Let us at least take our receipts out so we can move somewhere else! This move to forced charge with holding data till we do is bad business practice.Without warning charged fee
By MACbudget1I had a lot of my recipes stored and now I can’t get access to them without paying a monthly fee! What a scam and you could have at least given us a warning.Still the best cooking app
By jrjmediaI used this app for free for almost 10 years and don’t mind supporting it now.

So impressed by the ease of this app. Finally found a recipe organiser that’s user friendly. Highly recommend it!
Love having all my recipes in one place and not having to search through recipe books and pieces of paper!
I love this app. Love that I can sync and have access to ingredients while I’m still shopping at the store.
Hi! My name is Rachel. I’m a wife, mother to two girls, and lead software developer for OrganizEat. While I was never a natural in the kitchen, I can still create delicious meals – all due to my precious recipes. Whether it’s experimenting with a new recipe or following Grandma’s, I manage to produce amazing results. The logical next step for me was to migrate my recipes onto my iPhone. However, I quickly found out just how painful this process is.
https://everbets407.weebly.com/blog/font-manager-app-mac. I had to contend with: a folder full of cutouts from magazines and handwritten notes, an email inbox of internet recipes I had sent to myself, and cookbooks full of yellow sticky notes “bookmarking” the recipe pages. What a mess!

Still, I was undaunted. Moving all of my recipes my iPhone meant I would always have my recipes with me when I needed them. Such as at the store checking for an ingredient, on the playground with other moms when we share dinner ideas, and of course in the kitchen when I cook.

I searched for an app to help, but I couldn’t find one that suited my needs. Macos spaces moving apps app. Most apps came with their own recipes, while I wanted a place for my own. Some expected me to actually type in all those recipes one by one – seriously?!? Others did allow you to capture a photo of your recipes, but did not allow you to save ones from the web (a huge source of cooking inspiration).
Lastly, they all felt so alienating. I care for my recipe collection too much. I wanted a worthy home for it! A simple yet beautiful digital “cookbook” conveniently divided into sections, with an elegant look and feel. After all, as anyone who likes to cook will tell you, recipes are more than just a list of cooking instructions. Recipes are our memories, our topics of conversation, our ways of expressing ourselves, and our daily companions.
Pepperplate App For Mac Windows 10
Any app that I would dare use for my recipes should respect all of this, and not merely serve as a storage bin. When I just couldn’t find that ideal app, I decided to create it myself. Armed with my passion, and more than 10 years of experience as a software developer, I created OrganizEat. It’s my own personal and cherished recipe app, but also one I’m happy to share with you. I am sure that you’ll love it as much as I do!
